Description
GemTaq™ Colored 5xMaster Mix was developed for ultimate convenience, time conservation and greater productivity. It is a ready-to-
use 5x PCR reaction mix containing GemTaq™ DNA Polymerase, dNTPs, MgCl2 and reaction buffer at optimal concentrations for
efficient amplification of DNA templates. This mix also provides a direct loading of the PCR samples onto gels without the need to add a
loading sample buffer. It contains a compound that increases sample density for electrophoresis and two dyes (Red and Yellow) that
separate during electrophoresis and allow easy monitoring. The Red and Yellow dyes migrate at the same rate as 800-1000bp DNA
fragments and 20-30bp DNA fragments in a 1% agarose gel, respectively. Users of GemTaq™ Colored 5xMaster Mix only need to add
water, primers and template to perform PCR assays and go directly from thermal cycler to gel analysis.
Use of the GemTaq™ 5xMaster Mix provides robust yields and high sensitivity of PCR amplifications within a short reaction time. The
superior performance of this mix is due to properties of GemTaq™ DNA Polymerase that has an elongation rate higher than standard Taq
DNA polymerase.
